Pismo is a system-wide utility and doesn’t open like a traditional app with a main window. That’s why the menu options appear greyed out unless you're actively using it with selected text.
Here’s how to use it:
Highlight any text in any application (e.g. browser, document, email).
Click the star icon in your Mac’s menu bar.
Choose “Open with selected text.”
Alternatively, you can use the shortcut Shift + Command + C to trigger Pismo directly after highlighting text.
We recommend watching this quick onboarding video – it’ll walk you through everything in under a minute!
